Key Features

Look-fors

Picture
A 'Look-for' is a classroom resource that can be used as a non-evaluative assessment tool. The Look-fors in this peer-observation tool are designed to assess the extent to which students are engaged in particular elements of the mathematical practices of the Common Core State Standards for mathematics (CCSSO, 2010) and technology. The tool provides suggested student actions for each of the practices as observational look-fors. These should be helpful in providing suggestions related to both planning and assessment for teachers, leaders, and school-based administrators. Learn more from Dr. Skip Fennell (mathematics), Jonathan Wray (mathematics) and Krissie Littman (technology).

Observation Timeline

Picture
The Timeline of the observation presents the collected data as a function of time. It is a useful tool to track the Look-fors through the course of the class to see if they are consistent and relevant.

ISTE Technology Standards

CCL4s now includes the technology standards from ISTE.

Peer Observations

Picture
The primary purpose of the app is for colleagues and administrators to observe a classroom and note the look-fors being demonstrated by students. This data is then presented in easy-to-use interactive charts. Video Tutorials
